Draft drawing of ekkyklema. Dimensions were ultimately adjusted for wagon to be larger in order to fit two bodies. We made it slightly taller, and added a handle so it could be pushed and pulled on and off stage.
Floor elevation. Decided on a dark indigo for base (sprayed on), and lavender, metallic pale gold, and crimson for texture and color (hand-spattered).
Shaping columns, adding joint compound and cheesecloth for a strong paintable surface.
Repairing altar, which we later base coated and repainted to match columns.
Indigo base layer being applied to floor to cover previous show's floor paint.
